Situated on the road above the Leigh wharf and harbour, this vintage home is set on a property complete with lawn, rambling climbers and numerous old fruit trees. Originally a one bedroom wee cottage built in 1880, it has evolved into a family bach!

It has 3 bedrooms off the open, central living area. There is a spacious master bedroom with queen size bed, a small bedroom with a double bed and another tiny bedroom with a double bunk on the bottom and single bunk above. There is a separate kitchen, a deck off the back door, timber floors, one bathroom/toilet with a shower over the bath.

Just a short drive to put the boat in the Leigh Harbour, this is an ideal base for fishing and water sports. There is even an ouside bench for dealing with your fresh fish when you get back home!

Just a stone’s throw from the property is a public walkway down to the harbour where you can explore and walk the track to the other side of the harbour.

You can walk to the shops or further along Pakiri Rd to the Leigh Sawmill Cafe where you can experience their popular restaurant and bar and on the weekends, enjoy one of their famous gigs. There is the wonderful Goat Island Marine Reserve and it’s amazing sea life just a short drive away as is the picturesque Matheson Bay.

Enjoy being close to the many activities and places of interest this beautiful area has to offer including… beaches, wineries, Matakana markets, cinemas, cafes, restaurants, snorkelling, diving, horse riding, golf, tennis, surfing, fishing, boating and much more
